Our retained executive search group, Simpson Associates, continues to grow through these turbulent times. As such, reporting to the General Manager of the Division, we are looking to bring on a junior individual in our research department. This is a classic research role with extensive investigations into candidates, both by computer and telephone. Most of the work is at a very senior level — VP’s and up. Some introductory experience in the search business is preferred. As well, we are looking for an individual who has a very strong interest in corporate psychology (training will be provided) and wants to build a serious, long-term career in the executive search industry. The research team members are located in a number of different cities. As such, some travel (at some point in the future when conditions are safe given the current health crisis) will be required. Reporting to the GM, this role has been specifically designed for a first-rate research leader who possesses extensive experience in the search industry. You are fully familiar with the various methods for very in-depth candidate sourcing, are completely comfortable on a telephone and pride yourself in your leadership and training skills. As well, you are comfortable working in a remote (or virtual) business setting with a team in multiple locations. This assignment is ideally located in San Diego or San Francisco. We are now looking for an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to fully support the extensive activities of the General Manager in this very busy Division. As the ideal candidate, you bring at least 2 years of senior retained search experience and have a demonstrated command of all aspects of the search process. As well, preferably you have at least an undergraduate degree in psychology and the capability to continue your career growth beyond being AGM. In addition, you enjoy working with high-growth companies (and those in distress) and are comfortable dealing at the CEO and Board levels.
